Introduction

Dr Naomi Newman-Beinart (PhD) trading as The Women's Health Expert holds personal information about clients, prospective clients, website visitors and individuals who contact the business. This Privacy Notice explains how personal data is collected, used, stored and protected in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. This notice is reviewed regularly and was last reviewed in June 2026.


1. What We Do

The Women's Health Expert provides nutritional therapy services, health education, media work, workshops, speaking engagements and related wellbeing services. Through consultations, dietary and lifestyle analysis and, where appropriate, biochemical testing, we aim to support individuals with evidence based nutrition and lifestyle advice.


2. How We Obtain Your Personal Data

Personal data may be provided through questionnaires, consultation forms, terms of engagement documents, email correspondence, telephone calls, Google Meet consultations, Zoom or Microsoft Teams consultations, website enquiries, bookings and payments. Information may include contact details, health information, medical history, dietary and lifestyle information, supplement and medication details, laboratory test results, GP details and payment information. Information may also be received from testing companies or healthcare professionals where your explicit consent has been obtained.


3. How We Use Your Personal Data

Personal data is used to provide healthcare services, respond to enquiries, manage appointments, maintain professional records, communicate recommendations, arrange testing, fulfil contractual obligations and comply with professional and legal requirements. The lawful bases for processing include the provision of healthcare, legitimate interests, contractual obligations, legal obligations and consent where required.


4. Sharing Information

Information is treated as confidential and will only be shared where necessary to provide services, where consent has been given, where required by law, for safeguarding purposes, or with professional bodies such as BANT or CNHC in relation to complaints or regulatory matters. Information may be shared with laboratories, testing companies or other healthcare professionals where appropriate and with your consent.


5. Your Rights

You have the right to request access to your personal data, request correction of inaccurate information, request restriction of processing, object to processing, request deletion where appropriate, and request a copy of your data in a portable format. Subject Access Requests will normally be responded to within one calendar month in accordance with UK GDPR. Requests should be sent to DrNaomiB@gmail.com.

Personal information is stored securely using systems including Microsoft 365, Microsoft OneDrive and Google services where appropriate. Appropriate technical and organisational measures are used to protect personal data, including password protection, secure storage, restricted access and the use of reputable service providers.

Payments may be made by bank transfer or PayPal. Payment providers process information in accordance with their own privacy policies and security standards.


8. ICO Registration

Dr Naomi Newman-Beinart trading as The Women's Health Expert is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) as a data controller and complies with UK data protection legislation. ICO registration reference is ZA540780. 


9. Retention of Records

Client records are retained in accordance with current guidance issued by BANT and CNHC, together with any applicable legal and regulatory requirements. Records are retained only for as long as necessary to meet professional obligations.


10. Website, Cookies and Analytics

The website may use cookies, security services such as Google reCAPTCHA and website functionality tools. If website analytics are introduced in the future, this Privacy Notice will be updated accordingly. Visitors can manage cookies through their browser settings and any cookie consent tools provided on the website.
